Starting with a classic highly compartmentalised apartment in the Salamanca neighbourhood, we changed it to an open layout, in which all the spaces, such as the main room and the study and the guest room, can be combined or separated from the more public space of the house.
In this project taking into consideration the family’s two large dogs were very important, so the materials were chosen to be durable but at the same time warm.
An oak panel, hides the kitchen, connecting doors for the laundry room and bathroom, and a hidden guest bed and organises the space giving it texture and warmth. The hidden bed designed for this project, converts the studio to a guest room, enclosing two doors in natural iron and a folding door in oak, also part of the oak wall.
